About Us
Short History of Irvine Beat FM
Irvine Beat FM was set up as a community radio station in 2009 and became a registered charity in Scotland (SC042902) in 2012.
Having successfully completed a series of trial broadcasts on Restricted Service Licences, OFCOM finally awarded a 5 year licence to begin broadcasting on a full time basis on 12th August 2013.
The terms of our licence stipulates that further to providing a radio service with a wide variety of music, our programming must have a firm focus on health & wellbeing topics and information to benefit the local community.
